So I was recently given a citation during a trip to Northern California. Here's the condensed version; I went out with a group of friends to have dinner and drinks. The insurance companies in Canada are punishing seasoned riders with annual increased rates for motorcycles. Some won't even insure you if you change the pipes and the breather on your bike! Is there an association that can aid seasoned riders with fair insurance rates? If not, can we start one? If you've been riding for more than 20 years, I would like to hear how you are managing with these rip offs by the insurance companies.

Boyfriend got into accident with my car..he has insurance/SR-22. Whose insurance will be responsible?

My boyfriend has had an insurance policy with an SR-22 on it for almost a year. It expires in 6 days. He was driving my car to work and got into an accident that was his fault. My car has barely any damage and I don't think the other car was severely damaged. My mom has an insurance policy on my car ( I live with her) But since my boyfriend was driving and he has insurance with the SR-22 doesn't that mean that it will go on his insurance? Isn't that the exact reason he had to have the SR-22 in the first place? So in case he screwed up (which he did) than it would be covered in any car he drives? Thanks.

Alright here is the deal, this Monday i got pulled over by this idiot cop who gave me a speeding ticket for going something like 8-10 mph over...I'm 17 going on 18 and have had my license for about a year and a half or longer. I have had no prior tickets, violations, ect. It was a 75 dollar fine which im paying....but im really worried about my insurance, my parents pay it, and i havn't told them about the ticket, im just going to pay it...so my question is...will they notice a dramatic change in my insurance rates? for one speeding ticket? oh and also, i live in idaho...i know these things vary by state.
